This week our pupils enjoyed National Numeracy Day by celebrating all things maths!

Everyone enjoyed an online warm up with Katya Jones from Strictly Come Dancing to get their brains ready for lots of fun maths activities. Pupils got stuck into Bobby Seagull's Big Number Day quiz where there were wowed by some of the facts they learned. Did you know that sharks have no bones?

Our Year 6 children loved sharing their maths knowledge and playing number games with younger pupils across school, so much so, that the children have asked for this to become a regular break time activity!

Mrs Bennett asked her Year 1 class whether it was best to try and answer maths questions as quickly as possible and she was very impressed by Lucas' answer when he said "no, because slow and steady always wins the race".

Mrs Chesterfield's Year 5 pupils created some great posters on how maths will help them in their future careers for the Number Heroes competition. We wish them the best of luck in the competition.
